Start your Hearing Journey with Hearing Australia

Here’s an opportunity for you to take the first step on your hearing journey! Are you having trouble hearing lately? Are you experiencing difficulty:

  • hearing on the telephone?

  • following conversations when people are talking at the same time?

  • your TV is too loud?

  • straining to hear conversations and fatigued at the end of the day?

  • struggling to hear in noisy environments, you’re asking people to repeat themselves a lot, you’re thinking people don’t speak clearly, you’re becoming annoyed and irritable around people?

As with any medical condition, the sooner you address any deterioration in your hearing, the better the chance you will improve your quality of life.

Kaye Potter of Hearing Australia is attending Sunbury Seniors on Monday 30 June from 1pm. She’ll be giving a short presentation then there will be an opportunity for anyone interested to have a free hearing assessment in the Hearing Australia mobile bus which will be parked outside in the Sunbury Community Centre carpark.

If you are not a member of Sunbury Seniors and would like to attend for free, please contact us on contactus@sunburyseniors.com.au to book a spot.

Personal Safety and Security

Personal Safety and Security

Australia is generally a safe place, our political system is stable, and our crime rate is low.  However, it’s best to take the same precautions with your personal safety and possessions as you would anywhere else in the world. Personal safety can be compromised in many situations.

On Friday 25 October 2024 from 1pm Gary Fawcus [a Sunbury Seniors’ member and retired officer from Victoria Police] will give us some tips on Personal Safety and Security.

Gary will touch on personal safety in public places, out after dark, at home and who you should contact if for instance your life or property is being threatened or in danger, or if you are a victim of crime or have just witnessed a serious incident and the support services available.

Where? Sunbury Community Centre, 531 Elizabeth Drive, Sunbury. Follow the signs on entering the front door.
